The Friends of Pak Mur Committee Cordially Invite You to

 KLENENGAN JAWA

Javanese Gamelan Benefit Concert

A Tribute to Mr. Muryanto

Please join us for a special evening of Javanese music and dance as gamelan experts from around the country celebrate the life and contributions of our beloved teacher Pak Mur.

For over 50 years, Pak Mur has taught and performed gamelan, introducing thousands of Americans and people around the world to Indonesia’s most internationally visible and popularly known traditional performing art.

Recently, Pak Mur was diagnosed with an advanced stage of lymphoma cancer. In response, the community organized this event to pay tribute and honor a wonderful man who has dedicated his life to his craft and to his community – Please refer to The Story Behind & Flyer of the Event!
