Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Yun will discuss U.S.-Indonesia relations and the current view of Asia in Washington, D.C. and provide us with an update on Burma.  He is also looking forward to addressing the questions of the Indonesian and American business community operating here in Indonesia.

Mr. Joseph Yun is the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. He has responsibility for Southeast Asia and ASEAN Affairs and is visiting Indonesia to meet with Government of Indonesia officials, members of civil society, and representatives of the business community. Mr. Yun previously held the positions of Director of the Office of Maritime Southeast Asia also in Washington and Minister-Counselor for Political Affairs, U.S. Embassy, Seoul.  Mr. Yun’s other overseas postings include Thailand, France, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.
