USINDO Annual Washington Gala Dinner 2013

USINDO’s well-attended 2013 Annual Gala Dinner in Washington on May 31 featured a speech by Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan emphasizing the importance of increasing the level of U.S.-Indonesia educational exchanges and covering many other areas of interest.

Minister Wirjawan is a leading figure in managing Indonesia’s trade and economic relations with the United States, other countries, and multilaterally; and a key player in the APEC and WTO Ministerial meetings being hosted by Indonesia this year.  He was previously Chairman of Indonesia’s Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).  A Harvard-educated investment banker, he has held key posts at Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan.
