Requirements: Participants must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute of higher learning and must apply to the University of Hawaii at Manoa in conjunction with this program,  and are expected to cover transportation costs

Description: A 9-month long program that includes 5 months of intensive study at University of Hawaii at Manoa and 4 months of an additional project (in Hawaii or elsewhere).

Changing Faces Women’s Leadership Program

Requirements: Women from Asia, the Pacific Islands and the United States from all relevant professional backgrounds, including business owners, government and industry policymakers, and civil society organization leaders. Successful candidates will have 5-12 years of work experience with demonstrated ability to innovate.

Description: “The 2010 program will focus on the important role that innovative entrepreneurship plays in contributing to economic growth and job creation. Some travel stipends are available but participants should expect some cost-sharing.”

Fulbright FLTA (Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship)

Requirements: Applicants must be English teachers or in training to become an English teacher. Minimum institutional TOEFL score of 550.

Description: This program is for one academic year (9 months) and requires the grantee to teach Indonesian language and culture in the U.S. for 20 hours per week and to Enroll in at least two U.S. Studies and / or ESL methodology classes per semester under a full tuition waiver.

Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship for Mid-Career Professionals

Description: Study tour that includes one week of dialogues at the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, followed by tours in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Jakarta (spring 2010 itinerary)
