PROGRAM DIRECTOR (FULL-TIME)
Start date o/a September 1, 2008
The Program Director is responsible for USINDO programs, including topical speakers events and long term programs. The PD works directly with the President and all USINDO staff. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience. Duties include:
Speakers’ programs
- Identifying themes and speakers and developing speakers programs, in collaboration with President and all staff
- Handling all aspects of speakers programs, with support from the Program and Development Associate
- Writing high quality briefs summarizing speakers programs
- Chairing speakers’ program events if needed
Education program development and support
- Higher education initiatives in Indonesia
- USINDO exchange programs and grants
- USINDO-SAIS graduate studies program for Indonesians
- Aceh School Project
- Exploration of support to Indonesian studies in the US
- Proposal and Grant Writing – education and other
- Supporting Jakarta office program development/implementation
- Includes both topical speakers events and long term programs
BA minimum, Master’s Degree is preferred
Indonesian language competency and knowledge of Indonesia highly preferred
Strong writing and communications skills
Comfort with technical/analytic content
Strong management and operational ability
Knowledge of education programs a plus
Competency with Microsoft Office programs
