Greg Randolph is a rising senior at the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill, majoring in Religious Studies with a focus on Islam. While he enters the summer program after many research and educational experiences in various parts of Asia, it will be his first time in Indonesia. He is drawn to the country by its diversity of religious traditions, and its important ability to build a plural society by finding the harmonies among different perspectives and lifestyles. With his new Bahasa Indonesia skills, Greg hopes to apply for a Fulbright research grant to look at the intersections of religion, migration, and development in the Indonesian context. He hopes that his future involves supporting dialogue and exchange between Indonesia and the United States.
