Alex Kuestner

Alex Kuestner is a graduate student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa who is currently pursuing duel masters degrees in Southeast Asia Studies and library and information science. He earned a bachelors degree in history from the University of Washington. Alex lived in Thailand for one year where he taught English in a high school. He will use his Indonesian language skills to deepen his understanding of the region and hopes to later write a thesis studying the political relations between Indonesia and the Philippines prior to their colonization by Europeans. Alex plans to become a librarian in an academic research library with a strong Asian focus.
