Gulardi Nurbintoro is the first Masters Fellow to study in a U.S. graduate program in Law. He has served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia since December 2010. Upon completing his junior diplomatic training, he was assigned to the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He also was selected as a participant for the Junior Diplomatic Course at the Clingendael Institute for International Relations in The Hague, Netherlands. More recently, he worked with the Ministry’s Directorate for South American and Caribbean Affairs. Gulardi graduated from the University of Indonesia (UI) where he majored in Transnational Law. He was involved with many student-run organizations at UI, including the International Law Moot Court Society. In the Fall of 2013, he will start his graduate program in international law at the University of Virginia’s School of Law, following the footsteps of his role model, Indonesia’s prominent international law of the sea expert, Prof. Hasyim Djalal.
